Submarine is the deep, pressurized hum of a hull at depth: a very low, slow rumble that swells, holds and eases with the ballast and propulsion systems somewhere aft. There is almost nothing above the low mids, and the grey EQ keeps the bass full without letting it smear.
The color is 3.95 with grey EQ on. The envelope loop rises over 2 seconds, decays over 1 to a 60 percent sustain, holds for 5 seconds and releases over 3, for an eleven-second cycle. Beneath that a sine pulse at 0.06 Hz adds a slower undertow every sixteen or seventeen seconds.
It is a sleep favourite for people who want the darkest sound available with some motion in it. Space Station is the same color range with a single slow pulse and no envelope, and Deep Sleep in the sleep category is nearly the same color with a quicker eight-second swell.
