A comb filter with a 15 millisecond delay, 70 percent feedback and 35 percent mix supplies a ring around 67 Hz and its harmonics, and resonant filters at 80, 160 and 240 Hz with a Q of 15 and 30 percent mix add the hum. The envelope rises over 3 seconds, holds for 5 at 60 percent and releases over 4, a thirteen-second cycle, with a sine pulse at 0.03 Hz swelling every 33 seconds.
It is a favourite for sleep among science-fiction fans and for anyone who likes a low tonal element. Space Station in the mechanical category is the unfiltered version, and Cave Ambience uses a similar comb and resonant recipe at full brown with a longer 16-second cycle.
