Jet Stream is the tearing hiss of an aircraft heard from the ground, or the outside of the fuselage rather than the cabin: very bright, thin and continuous. The grey EQ lends it enough body that it does not feel like pure treble, but it remains one of the brightest presets available.
The color is 0.8, between violet and blue, so the spectrum climbs steeply into the high frequencies. Grey equalization is on, which lifts the bass and eases the mids to make it more tolerable. There is no pulse, the distribution is Gaussian and the fade-in is three seconds.
It is picked for masking very high-pitched sounds and for people who like a bright, open hiss for daytime alertness. Airplane Cabin is the inside-the-plane version at 3.5, and Mountain Wind in the nature category is a gusting sibling at 1.8. Most people use it in short sessions rather than for hours at a time.
