Static TV is the sound of an old set losing its signal and stuttering: raw white hiss chopped into fast, hard bursts. It is abrasive by design, with the uniform distribution adding a crackly grain and the square-shaped pulse switching it on and off like a faulty relay.
The color is exactly 2, white, with uniform distribution. The envelope loop is tiny, attacking in 0.02 seconds, holding for 0.2 and releasing in 0.1, so it cycles almost three times a second. A square pulse at 2.5 Hz gates the level at a similar rate, so the two rhythms interfere and stutter. Grey EQ is off.
This is a sound-design and novelty preset rather than a sleep aid. Electric Hum in the mechanical category is the slower, warmer gated cousin, and Machine Rhythm layers four independent gated voices for a more complex industrial pattern. Turn the volume down before pressing play; it arrives instantly and at full intensity, with a fade-in of only two hundredths of a second.
