Near-violet noise at 0.3 with grey EQ and uniform grain, a soft, fine hiss

ASMR Static is a very fine, whispery hiss, like the sound between tracks on a cassette or the faint fizz of a carbonated drink held near the ear. It is bright but not sharp, because the grey EQ pulls the spectrum back into balance and the uniform grain gives it a soft, dry texture.
The color is 0.3, almost violet, with grey equalization switched on to keep the treble from stinging and a little body underneath. The distribution is uniform for grain. There is no pulse and no envelope, and the five-second fade-in lets the hiss creep up rather than snap on.
It is used at low volume for tingles, for masking very quiet rooms, and as a texture under recorded whispers. Violet Haze in the ambient category is the raw, unequalized sibling at 0.2, and Vinyl Crackle is the same brightness shaped into a crackle rhythm.
