This is the sound of a jet engine idling three gates away, or a big idling truck heard through a closed window. It is dense, constant and low, with no swell or motion of any kind. Heavy Blanket is the simplest of the sleep presets and for many people the most effective.
The color is set to the full brown value of 4, which rolls off at roughly 6 dB per octave and leaves very little above a few hundred hertz. Grey EQ is enabled to keep the low end from turning into mud on headphones. The pulse is off, and the fade-in is a relatively brisk 15 seconds.
If you want to fall asleep fast and simply need a wall of low sound, this is usually the first pick. Deep Brown in the ambient category is the same color without grey EQ, and Lucid Dream is the closest sleep sibling, sitting at 3.8 without equalization.
