Ocean Drift is a shoreline where the waves never fall into a pattern: a mid-sized wave breaking slightly to the left, a bigger, slower one to the right, and a quick, light one in the centre, all in a large space. Because the three cycles have different lengths, the sea keeps changing for many minutes before it repeats.
Three voices run together. A 3.8 color voice panned left cycles every twelve and a half seconds, a full-brown voice panned right every seventeen seconds, and a 3.5 voice in the centre every eight seconds or so, each with its own attack and release. A large reverb at 30 percent blends them, and a fourth voice is present but muted.
It is the preset to try when a single looping wave starts to feel mechanical. Waves Loop is one of these voices on its own, and Ocean Waves in the nature category is brighter and uses a pulse rather than extra voices for its added motion.
