Seaside Cave is the sound of water surging into a rocky hollow and draining out again: a low, hollow boom that builds, drops away and lingers before the next surge. It is darker and slower than Ocean Waves, more like being inside the cliff than on the beach.
The color is 3.8 with grey EQ enabled to keep the low end from smearing. The envelope rises over 3 seconds, decays over 1 second to a 50 percent sustain, holds for 4 and releases over 4, so each surge takes about twelve seconds. A sine pulse at 0.12 Hz layers a swell every eight seconds underneath.
It is chosen by people who like wave sounds but want them deeper and less busy for sleep. Ocean Waves is the brighter, quicker sibling at 3.2, and Cave Ambience in the textured category adds comb and resonant filtering for a more literal cave echo.
