Grey Noise is white noise adjusted to the ear rather than to the meter. Where Pure White sounds bright because we hear the upper octaves more readily, Grey Noise compensates with an inverse equal-loudness curve, so the result feels spread evenly from a soft bass floor up to a smooth, unexaggerated top.
The color is 2, white, with grey equalization switched on. The EQ boosts the low and very high frequencies where hearing is less sensitive and eases back the mids where it is most sensitive. The pulse is off, the distribution is Gaussian and the fade-in is one second.
