About This Sound

Theta Meditation sounds like being inside a still, empty hall with the air handling running: a soft, even wash without any obvious rhythm or edge. The grey EQ gives it a centred, neutral quality, and the slow fade means it never breaks the silence abruptly.

Its color is 3.5, halfway between pink and brown, and grey equalization is on. The pulse is off and there is no envelope loop. The one deliberate difference from its siblings is the ten-second fade-in, which is about three times longer than the other focus presets.

It is used for sitting meditation, breathing practice and yoga more than for desk work, though the underlying sound is the same as Focus Zone. If you want motion in the sound, Breath Work in the experimental category adds a six-second breathing envelope. Many people set it up once and simply leave it as their default for any seated practice.

Best Used For

Try this: Set the sleep timer to the length of your sit so the sound fades out on its own as a gentle bell.
